I sat down on my table, opening my math workbook, glancing at the invisible enemy. My trusty pen, although sometimes not able to slay the enemy, rusty and worn down. But today is a new day, and as I picked up my pen, the fist wave of enemies came.  What is 2(3x+y)-5(3(x-3y)-4(2x-y))? My pen slashed multiple wounds on the enemy, but to no avail.  After a tiring battle, I decided to call in my heavy artillery, my calculator.  A few taps here and there, as the artillery pounded the enemy, blowing them to smithereens.  Finally, the 1st wave was defeated. I panted, exhausted, as I put down my pen, ink smeared all over my paper.  It was bloody, but I had won.

I couldn't decide which one to do, so I decided to do both.

!. Hitler

This message from Hitler is to persuade and encourage youths to join the Germans in their fights against the Allies.  I'm not a nazi, but I do have to admit that his speaking skills are quite good. This speech was read out in World War 2, and although I am an anti-facist, I do admit that Hitler has done quite a great job at the start of the war, trying to persuade the Germans.

2. Franklin D. Roosevelt

This message from Franlkin D. Roosevelt was to persuade Congress to launch a war on Japan, after Japan bombed Pearl Harbour.  The speech was read out in 1941, during World War , after Japan had bombed Pearl Harbour.

After listening to this speech, one may feel anger, shame or revenge.   This speech is very strong-worded and is very persuasive to persuade Congress. In the end, Frankiln's speech paid off, as the house of representatives voted to attack Japan 388 -1.

As the red army marches, people suffer. As Stalin enjoys, people die. Many wish that Russia was an utopia, a place where there would be no worries, everything would simply be perfect.

What is an utopia?

A utopia is a state of mind or place where everything is perfect, everything is in harmony and is balanced. The elements of an utopia would consists of no arguments, a balance bewteen light and dark, harmony between races, friends and family. An example of an utopia is in the book by Lois Lowry "The Giver"

Jonas’s world is perfect.  Everything is under control.  There is no war or fear or pain.  There are no choices.  Every person is assigned a role in the Community.

When Jonas turns twelve he is singled out to receive special training from an old man known as The Giver.  The Giver alone holds the memories of true pain and pleasure of life.  Now it’s time for Jonas to receive the truth.  There is no turning back. As The Giver transfers the memories, Jonas discovers the disturbing truths about his utopian world.

Thus we can see that nothing is really perfect, thus it is almost impossible for a utopia world.

Success. The thing that many people are looking for.  To achieve success, there are always choices we can make.  There is the road where we take a lot of risks, the results are great, or the path where we have little risks, but the results may be measly.

Risks are inevitable, almost every things have risks. However, we cannot force low-risk takers (like me) to take part in activities with high-risks, also we cannot coerce high-risk takers to do mundane activities with no thrill.  In the real world, risks are inevitable, and thus ironically, I think that a person who takes high risks  might stand a better chance in socity than one who is a low-risk taker.  Why?

For example, the stock market is a very volatile form of business. But why do many people take part in it, though it is very risky? Because the rewards are really big! Thus, with this thinking in mind, we can infer that being a high-risk person is better than being a low-risk person. Speaking of stocks, would you you like to invest in my Threehorse Milk company?
