"Hello, are you here for the open house? Ok, just go to the clock tower to register yourself. Thank you!" I stood at the same spot for 3 hours repeating this same sentence which nearly drove me insane.

As a iCIT, it was required of me to be a stationary usher and point out the direction to "future students" and parents, who looked like they would be lost in tis big school.

So, time flew by as I stood under the scorching sun and ushered the visitors to the Clock Tower.

So, when the time for the break arrived, it was like a sign from Heaven as I left poor Xin Jie to suffer the brunt of the afternoon heat as I enjoyed my food.

The time flew past as I ushered, ran about and even helped to find a missing wallet, which in the end was found in the boy's car.

This Open House was more enriching than I had thought, with many insightful comments about the school from the visitors, at the same time trying to solve the every whim of every visitor.  Every time, when the sense of tiredness overwhelmed me, I would remind myself that I was doing a service to the school, and somehow a surge of energy would go through my body.

My poor feet and my thighs suffered my "service" to the school. The mosquitos punished me for my devotion.  My thighs were red and angry as they rubbed against the pants.  The drizzle was a interference as I attempted to deal with my friends.

My return to home was a welcoming to "heaven". I sank into the sofa, drinking my lemonade and watching the rain pour outside.

As i stared at the scrabble board, trying to read my opponent's  mind, I glanced at the clock.  Time flew past as tiles were placed and the minute hand turned.  My hands started sweating. I was lagging behing by 10 points and I had 5 minutes left. I tried to calm myself, I wanted to scream.

As the opponent's flag dropped, I pumped my fists. I had won by 5 points.

In the Scrabble competition, it was really a very close one. Jian Shun and Jia Chin fell to their opponents, while me, Gerald and John, a secondary two; struggled to stay alive.

The next two rounds were a breeze.  I got a walkover, which I looked boringly at the other teams as I played my very lousy "distraction" player who was supposed to distract me from cheating. LAME.

Th last round was the funniest. The girls were calling me retarded names, while I kept quiet, managing to beat them by 276 points.  YAY.

Today, we had soccer against 1I4. We won 2-1, amazingly.  Zheng Jie scored both goals, while to tried to defend but still was unable to block a ball. SIgh

Life is now very hectic as I take part in many competitions.  I may break down anytime.

Ok guys I really apologise for my non-existence of blog posts. I'm really very sorry.

So, traffic woes and part and parcel of a bustling city.  Imagine yourself waking up, groggy, tired and irritated, heading towards school or work. You slam open your house door, trying to inhale the non-existent smell of grass. What hits your face is a gust of carbon monoxide. You sigh, heading for the car.  After 15 minutes on the highway, everything is fine. Then, you turn into the city area.  You immediately screech to a halt.  You groan, staring at the long stretch of traffic in front of you.  A real life example of an ultimate test of patience.  You get a scolding by your boss or your teacher.

But erase all these traffic woes. Life is a breeze. No carbon monoxide, no traffic. Isn't it like a paradise. But without thes traffic, there seems to be something missing. There is a sense of loneliness, no sense of competitiveness. Life is just smooth sailing.

Traffic is like a pain in our necks. But without traffic, isn't life some kind of empty shell. There is no competition, there is no motivation to propel you in life. There is no propulsion to make you think out of the box, to make you be flexible in life. Since there is nothing we can really do to avoid this traffic woes, as much as we try, why not try to live with it. Yes, the process may be hard, but it is better than fretting in your car, facing the same old problems.  Think out of the box, and live with traffic woes.
