As the red army marches, people suffer. As Stalin enjoys, people die. Many wish that Russia was an utopia, a place where there would be no worries, everything would simply be perfect.

What is an utopia?

A utopia is a state of mind or place where everything is perfect, everything is in harmony and is balanced. The elements of an utopia would consists of no arguments, a balance bewteen light and dark, harmony between races, friends and family. An example of an utopia is in the book by Lois Lowry "The Giver"

Jonas’s world is perfect.  Everything is under control.  There is no war or fear or pain.  There are no choices.  Every person is assigned a role in the Community.

When Jonas turns twelve he is singled out to receive special training from an old man known as The Giver.  The Giver alone holds the memories of true pain and pleasure of life.  Now it’s time for Jonas to receive the truth.  There is no turning back. As The Giver transfers the memories, Jonas discovers the disturbing truths about his utopian world.

Thus we can see that nothing is really perfect, thus it is almost impossible for a utopia world.
